Letting Events Control Your Life ... Dropping The Negatives And Moving On!

It's interesting to note how we sometimes become so inundated with events in our lives that we allow them to become our lives. Instead of enjoying and nurturing the life we have, we fall prey to the fears and stresses that occur as a result of negative experiences.

Events do not destroy and alter lives unless we allow them. But, it is easier to plan an attack and involve a battle to protect our quality of life than it is to simply enjoy the quality of life we fought so hard to obtain. The battles we fight and the wars we wage, while protecting our lives, actually deteriorate the life we have.

Setting priorities can adjust the level of intrusion negative events can have in our lives. While, at the same time, place the negative events at a lower level while tending to them unemotionally. Determine what's important to supporting and enhancing your life as opposed to what can tear it apart. Examine how you can move forward and not what's following behind you.

While this all sounds like the easy way out, is it so easy? It is a decision that we must make as to whether or not a person or a situation is of any consequence in your life. Essentially, does it really matter? Can you continue the focus on your life while resolving the issue or is it really important enough to wage a battle?

Many people find it necessary for battles because they need to prove a point and prevent this from occurring to others. Indeed, it is noble to do so, but is it not the lessons we learn that allow us to grow? Others will indeed learn their lessons as time progresses, but are you the maverick placed on this earth to fix their issues and remove their lessons? In doing so, you are neglecting your own life and depleting the quality that you work so hard to obtain.

Evaluate what is important to nurturing the life you want. Don't try to find those things that can destroy it, because it is guaranteed that you will find them, and they will find you. By wasting so much time dealing with the negatives, we fail to move our lives forward to our desires. Align your life in the direction you desire, drop the negatives, and begin moving forward. Soon enough, you'll be moving too fast for anything negative to catch you!
