Chelation and Clathration

Chelating is the process of removing toxic materials, metals and minerals from the body by use of certain chelating agents. These are substances that bond with the toxic materials resulting in capsulation of those toxic materials within the chelating agent that then flashes away through the natural excretory process of cleaning the body waste.

Arterial Plaque is one of the most commonly identified toxin. This needs to be removed in order to avoid the arteries from being plagued and this also ensures a great cardio-vascular health.

There are varieties of chelating agents being used today, some most common ones being Ethylene Diamine Tetra Acetic acid (EDTA), Dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA), Dimercaptopropane Sulfonate (DMPS) that are mostly applied intravenously.

The chelate attaches itself with the toxins by means of reversible ionic bond. With that bond intact the toxin is pulled out and passed through the digestive and excretory system to out of the body. However, in this process the toxin is not neutralized and there is every possibility that in it's way out the toxin will attach other cells. This process of chelation is also not always full proof when it comes to removing heavy metals from the cells.

Besides, using conventional chelation process also exposes you to the risk of some important and required metals being removed from your body in the process of cleaning up.

Clathration is a unique solution to chelation that comes without any of the above disadvantages. In this process, the clatharaing substance like PCA-Rx is given orally and it forms a three dimensional matrix around the toxin materials, completely enclosing it in a capsule, thereby effectively neutralizing it and preventing it from coming in contact with any other body tissues and then it is flushed out of the body.

With clathration there is no chance of re-infecting the body cells with the toxins while they are flushed out. At the same time clathration agents like PCA-Rx are extremely effective in removing heavy metals poisoning like lead or mercury.
